September 6, 2024 Deuteronomy 11:26-16:17 Re’eh
In this week’s study we see again the choice between life and death is stressed. As the capital of the “kingdom” is announced, I look at the question - is there a King in Israel today and discuss why Isaiah 53 is no longer read. This section looks at false prophets, reviews improper mourning, the kosher diet, the Shmitta year and the three feasts that all Hebrew males must attend.

The book that I referenced can be found at www.ramsheadpress.com/html/mes.html

If anyone has a comment or question, leave it below and I will be glad to answer it if I can. All comments are welcome even if you disagree with me but please be kind and respectful.

And if anyone is interested in joining the discussion with our group live on Friday night’s via zoom, this link below should work, as long as I don’t have any technical problems beyond my control. Our study begins at 7pm USA East coast time/6pm Central time every Friday night. Of course by participating live you might appear on next week’s video. Or if you don’t want to appear on video we also discuss afterwards for those who are bashful!
