Meet the new Nissan Qashqai!

It’s a facelift over the previous edition, and Mat is about to determine if it can compete with competitors like the Peugeot 3008, Kia Sportage or Toyota C-HR.

Given it's only a facelift, the exterior design is relatively similar to the previous car, although there are a few notable changes. Up front, there’s a huge new grille that almost spans the entire front end. The headlights have also been updated with the DRLs now spit from the main headlamps. Along the side, there are new alloy wheel designs available, while around the back the taillights have been updated and there’s also a new rear bumper.

Inside there are a handful of updates, with the main one being a new infotainment screen that runs on Google! The rest of the dash has also been redesigned, and we love that Nissan has chosen to keep physical climate controls in the car! The digital dial screen is the same as before, and the seats have been updated and are pretty comfortable.

When it comes to engines, there are two 1.3-litre 4 cylinders, available, one delivering 140hp, and one delivering 158hp. The range-topper is the car we have here, the e-power edition, which comes with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol as well as hybrid tech that can produce 190hp.

The Qashqai range starts at just over £30,000, rising to almost £40,000 for the e-power edition we have here. So is it worth it? You’ll need to join Mat and find out for yourself!
