CCP President Xi Jinping Has Promised Africa More Than $50 Billion in Fresh Funding

09/05/2024 Reuters: CCP President Xi Jinping pledged more than $50 billion in new funding for Africa at the China-Africa Summit. Although African countries want to reduce their trade deficit with China, Xi did not reiterate his pledge to buy $300 billion of African goods made at the previous summit three years ago. Instead, he only promised to expand market access unilaterally, and his policies have hindered African food from entering the Chinese market.
