Who Can Fear Such A Tiny Fluffy Creature

Bats are quite innocent creatures. However, despite their minute size and incredible fluffiness, entire neighborhoods are known to shake with fear of them, rather because of their "bad reputation", based on the Christian tradition, attributing to them a connection with the evil spirit. In China, on the contrary, the bat symbolizes good fortune and success, this is why these night-flyers are often depicted on greeting cards and lottery tickets. It is interesting that in Chinese, the words "bat" and "luck" are denoted by a single pictograph.

In the video footage shot on May 22, 2018, in Buffalo, New York, USA, we see just such a cute representative of the species caught entering into a building and trapped under a trash bin. An employee was asked to remove it and restore “safety and normalcy” in the collective. The ball of fluff seemed to have dozed off and the human, many, many times its size, equipped with courage and safety gloves tried to awaken the little one. But, alas, the bat wakes and immediately shows its fangs and starts to hiss at the man rousing quite overwhelming primeval fears within the human soul and the bat was left to fall asleep again and was released that evening. That was intense! For the bat, of course.

We must admit bats are nocturnal and by that - mysterious creatures and a person instinctively fears what he does not know. Yes, many people tell terrible stories about them, not always corresponding to reality. They can also have a vile snout and a nasty squeak and do get entangled in your clothes. But they are so tiny and cute, fear them not!
