Those in Power Actively Wish to Cause Harm: Cartoonist Bob Moran

Cartoonist Bob Moran recognised the harm that lockdown would cause when it was suggested as a public health measure in 2020. The outcome for him was to be dismissed from his job at the UK newspaper The Telegraph in 2021. He now works independently and his cartoons can be seen at https://www.bobmoran.co.uk/

In this clip from a recent interview on the UK Column he describes the way that the powers in charge get away with causing harm: by most people holding firm to the belief that those in power would not want to cause them harm. Anyone who has spent time in a third world nation knows otherwise. So do those who grew up under Communist or totalitarian regimes. But those who have lived with privilege genuinely cannot imagine it even as it takes place before their very eyes.
