Trump Enters Plea in Political Election Interference Prosecution

The far Left’s political prosecution of President Donald Trump continues. The former President just pleaded not guilty to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s superseding indictment for Jan. 6 election interference.
A week ago, Smith roared back with a vengeance against President Trump after the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity derailed his original Jan. 6 case. The Justices asserted (agreeing with the arguments in the ACLJ’s amicus brief) that all U.S. Presidents have immunity for “official acts” done while serving in office.
With this superseding indictment – a new indictment that overrides the previous one – Smith is prosecuting “candidate Trump” instead of “President Trump.” In other words, it’s the same indictment with a few tweaks.
