Why I’m a Torah-Observant Christian, Part 1 / WWY L71

How well do you know your Bible? Many people know the Bible through what others have taught them (e.g. parents, scholars, etc.). Others may have learned because they were searching for a particular answer. But what happens when somebody shows you a different way of looking at the Bible? And it answers questions you don’t even know that you had? Because many people find the Bible very confusing.

Question: If you were satan, wouldn’t you make every effort to twist people’s understanding of Yah’s/God’s foundational Word? Please read Daniel 7:23-25. It amazes me how the concept of the Torah/’The Law’ has been twisted.

By reading the Bible and letting the Bible interpret itself (instead of using the ‘traditions of men’; Mark 7:8), some of those Bible verses that you didn’t know what to do now may fit better now and make more sense. We are going to look at many bible verses and see how they may have been misinterpreted / taken out of context and look at those verses that have been ignored as well.

For many this won’t be an easy lesson to listen to. It may challenge many of your existing beliefs. Why do I know this? Because I had the same challenges when I was presented with this information many years ago back in 2012. It caused me some discomforting struggles because it’s easier to learn than it is to change what you think you have known - which can be much harder.

I’m not saying I’m a scholar (which is actually good in some cases because they don’t really teach about sanctification/deliverance ministry in accredited religious schools either) nor that I know everything. You can’t do sanctification ministry very long and have that attitude. I’m okay with being wrong IF somebody can present to me a better understanding. I’m more concerned about wanting the Truth than I am being right.

It also needs to be said that what we’ll discuss tonight has no impact on how I minister to others that may believe differently. As long as we agree on the major doctrinal issues (Romans 14:1), WWY has no problems ministering to and has to people of different bible-based denominations.

But I challenge you to at least listen to another perspective on how to apply the Bible to your lives.

So as we enter into this year’s Feast season [Yom Teruah/Rosh Hoshannah is this week (which is Yah's/God's New Year btw), Yom Kippur/The Day of Atonement, Sukkot/the Feasts of Tabernacles], I figured this would be a good time for this teaching.
