每日下午五點四十分定點拍太陽，可以發現太陽在固定時間盤旋在該地上方每日的位置高低會有些許不同。若把每日太陽的位置相連，則形成一左下右上傾斜的阿拉伯數字８的形狀，稱為日行線(Analemma)。
