HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING || Gen 3:16-21
* Gen 3:16 The consequence of sin plays out as God cursed the woman's conception and childbirth. That is, the woman’s joy in conceiving and bearing children will be saddened by the pain of it. The word desire (Heb. teshûgâ) can also mean “an attempt to usurp or control” as in Gen_4:7. We can paraphrase the last two lines of this verse this way: “You will now have a tendency to dominate your husband, and he will have the tendency to act as a tyrant over you.” The battle of the sexes has begun. Each strives for control and neither lives in the best interest of the other (Php_2:3-4). This broken curse is actualized through our connection to Jesus and living out his life.

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 3:16-21
* Gen 3:17-19 Adam got his share of blame, even though he tried to escape it (v. Gen_3:12). Cursed is the ground: Though the curse was not directed at the man, it is trouble for him. Now his life will be marked by toil, thorns and thistles, sweat, and finally death. These words imply that before the Fall the ground was not filled with noxious weeds and work would have been more pleasant (Gen_2:15). to dust you shall return: Death will now come to humankind, whereas there had been the possibility of living forever (Rom_5:12-14). The word of God was sure: God had stated that they would certainly die (Gen_2:17). Now they were served notice concerning the process of aging and decay that was already at work (Gen_5:5.) Again this broken curse is actualized as we connect with Jesus and live out his life. Gal 3:13-14

HOW IT ALL STARTED - THE BEGINNING . || Gen 3:16-21
* Gen 3:20 Adam calls his wife “Eve” which means “life”. Here appears the faith of Adam. He accepts God’s verdict, but at the same time, in faith, lays hands on what God has said about the seed of the woman. He focuses his eye on the future when he says that Eve is the mother of all living. “All living” are all those who, by faith, are connected with the seed of the woman: the Lord Jesus. Adam did not realize this, but we may know it by what we read in the New Testament (Gal_3:16 Gal_4:4 ).

Personal Supplication
Father, thank You for breaking the curse of the First Adam through the sacrifice of the Second Adam - JESUS! Help me live above these curses as I embrace the life of Christ IJMN! Gal 2:20 TPT
20 “My old identity has been co-crucified with Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of his cross crucified me with him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives his life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that he gave himself for me, and dispenses his life into mine!
