Flying Dutchman Burger - Fun With Food

INGREDIENTS
1 large onion
3/4 lbs of ground beef
4 slices of cheese( any cheese of your liking)
1 tsp of kosher salt
1 tsp of pepper
1/4 cup of mayo
1 tbs of ketchup
1 tbs of relish
DIRECTIONS
Step 1
Cut 4 1/2 inch thick slice from the middle of the onion and discard the smaller ends for another use. Divide the beef into 4 portions and form each into a very thin patty. Season Pattie’s with salt and pepper.

Step 2
Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Working in batches, add 2 onion slices to the pan and cook for about 3 minutes. Add 2 in same pan and cook until golden brown.

Step 3
Add cheese slices to the top of the on top of both burger Pattie’s. Then add the mayo, relish and ketchup sauce to the top burger.
