I ran a toll booth like 20 years ago, and I still get a letter from a law firm once a year, and the amount owed keeps going down each time.

Lol. I had debt collectors try to scam me for 12000 Euros in Estonia and who knows how much from Finland.

In Estonia I supposedly bought something when I was 17 which they claimed once I turned 23, so after a bit of investigation into the laws about this, I called them and told them go f*ck themselves. They still kept sending me bills for the next 3 years untill they stopped. Didn't pay them a dime.

In finland I signed up to a yearly subscription to the local gym but I only went for 3 months before I moved out of thay city. I sent them an email telling them to cancel and I sent it in english. I never got a reply but I stopped paying anyway. A years later got one bill in the mail which had grown from 50 euros to something like 600+ euros. Didn't pay em a dime and that was over 7 years ago now.

The 12000 euro one started off from something like 16 euros. 😂
