Labor Day Weekend Railfan - Effingham: The Crossroads of America (Part 1 of 2)

Kole and I headed out for a road trip over Labor Day weekend. I have family in southern Illinois and we enjoy railfanning there, so off we went. We spent the weekend catching trains in Greenup and Effingham, and everywhere in between. We stopped by the Casey, Illinois Popcorn Festival (an annual end-of-summer event). It was corn dogs, funnel cakes and live entertainment. Part 1 is our first day out, and part 2 will be mostly our return trip with multiple train stops along the way. Enjoy the video.
