Boston was formed in 1970 by wiz kid Tom Scholz, a recent graduate of MIT. Tom recorded his songs in his basement using electronics he invented to get that unique tone and sound. The production quality was so good that many of the tracks on the debut album in 1976 are almost identical to the demos.
