November 21, 1891 - 'Monon Bell Memory' : DePauw vs. Wabash (Forfeit)

A telegram from Manager Evans of the Wabash College football team, received by DePauw Manager Smith on November 20, declared that the men from Crawfordsville would be unable to play the following day's scheduled game at DePauw and were thus forfeiting the contest. It went down in the record books as a 1-0 victory.

There had been some controversy in amid claims by DePauw that one of the Wabash players is not enrolled as a student at the college.
