Path of Exile – Settlers of Kalguur: Act 5 - The Tyrant of Oriath

Having triumphed over the darkness beneath Highgate, Predator_SoK, the relentless Duelist, now returns to Oriath, the seat of power he once escaped. But the Oriath he finds is a city in flames, its streets awash with the blood of rebellion. The slaves have risen against their Templar oppressors, driven by a dark and ancient force—the corrupting influence of Kitava, the Karui god of corruption.

Act 5 thrusts Predator_SoK into the heart of a city on the brink of collapse. The air is thick with the smoke of burning buildings, and the cries of the oppressed echo through the streets. Amidst this chaos, a new threat emerges—High Templar Avarius, the tyrant whose iron rule has kept Oriath under the Templars' control for too long. To end the tyranny and bring a measure of peace to the city, Predator_SoK must confront and slay Avarius, a man consumed by his own lust for power.

But as the Duelist battles through Oriath’s twisted alleys and desecrated temples, he discovers that the revolt is not merely a fight for freedom. Kitava’s influence spreads like a plague, twisting the minds and bodies of those who fall under its sway. The leader of the revolt has pledged allegiance to this god of corruption, and the very soul of Oriath hangs in the balance.

In the shadow of the Overseer’s Tower, Predator_SoK must navigate a city torn apart by war, confront the zealotry of the Templars, and face the madness of Kitava’s followers. The final battle against High Templar Avarius will decide not just the fate of Oriath, but whether the city falls into the hands of an even greater evil.
