** Righteous Path Blues: Trust in Yahweh | Psalm 37 Blues | Original Song

** In this powerful blues interpretation of Psalm 37, we journey through the timeless wisdom that King David imparted through his inspired words. Written in a time when the righteous were troubled by the prosperity of the wicked, David composed this psalm to remind the faithful to trust in Yahweh, to do good, and to remain steadfast in righteousness. As the world around him seemed unjust, David looked beyond the surface, understanding that God's justice would prevail, and that the righteous would inherit the land and enjoy peace.

This song captures the depth of David's message, blending the soul of the blues with the profound truths of Psalm 37. Each verse reflects the struggles we face when we see wickedness prosper, but also the hope we hold when we trust in God's plan. The words of this song are more than just lyrics—they are a reminder that righteousness is rewarded, even when the world seems dark.

Psalm 37 (WEB):
1 Don’t fret because of evildoers,
neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness.
2 For they shall soon be cut down like the grass,
and wither like the green herb.
3 Trust in Yahweh, and do good.
Dwell in the land, and enjoy safe pasture.
4 Also delight yourself in Yahweh,
and he will give you the desires of your heart.
5 Commit your way to Yahweh.
Trust also in him, and he will do this:
6 he will make your righteousness shine out like light,
and your justice as the noon day sun.
7 Rest in Yahweh, and wait patiently for him.
Don’t fret because of him who prospers in his way,
because of the man who makes wicked plots happen.
8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath.
Don’t fret; it leads only to evildoing.
9 For evildoers shall be cut off,
but those who wait for Yahweh shall inherit the land...

Psalm 37 : Righteous Path Blues Lyrics:
Verse 1:
Don’t fret 'bout those evildoers,
Don’t envy their wicked way,
They’ll be cut down like the grass,
Wither like the green herb, fade away.

Chorus:
Trust in Yahweh, do what's good,
Dwell in the land, He’ll see you through,
Delight yourself in Yahweh’s light,
He’ll give you the desires of your heart, that’s true.

Verse 2:
Commit your way to Yahweh, trust in Him,
He’ll make your righteousness shine,
Like the light at the noon day,
He’ll bring justice in His time.

Bridge:
Rest in Yahweh, wait for Him patiently,
Don’t fret over the wicked man,
Cease from anger, forsake wrath,
Trust in Yahweh, He’s got a plan.

Verse 3:
The humble will inherit the land,
And delight in peace forevermore,
But the wicked, their swords will break,
Their schemes won’t stand, like before.

Chorus:
Better is the little the righteous hold,
Than the wealth of many wicked souls,
For Yahweh upholds the righteous hand,
Their inheritance is forever, and they’ll stand.

Verse 4:
I was young, now I’m old,
But I’ve never seen the righteous beg for bread,
Yahweh’s saints are preserved, forever kept,
While the wicked, they’ll be cut off, instead.

Outro:
Salvation for the righteous, it’s Yahweh’s gift,
He’s their stronghold in troubled times,
He helps them, rescues them, from the wicked’s hand,
They find refuge in His arms, safe and divine.
