Ostroff: Was the Rifle too Big for the Backpack? Math & Specs in DESCRIPTN-Back Pack, Upper Receiver

That was my initial thought, but I looked up the bag and it's deeper than you'd think from the FBI photo

So Ostroff could be right, so I did the math. The upper receiver pictured here:

is 26". The backpack is 21.5 X 13 X 8.5, which with the Pythagorean theorem makes it 25.12 inches diagonally in a flat backpack, which means it could fit with barrel protruding, but it would be too obvious to be ideal.

3D rectangle length also uses Pythagorean Theorem: the root of the 3 sides squared and added together is 26.5, just barely over my eye-measurement of the FBI rifle pic in 480p.

SO Crooks would layer in a bunch of clothes or other pliable filler around the rifle, lay it long ways and it jussssst barely fits, but Swissgear says different versions of the pack vary in size, so maybe, maybe no.

Crooks crossed the roof peaks in that vid so he ran around with it. It sounds impractical, like using iron sights, to have a the rifle jutting through diagonally, moving around on Crooks' back asymmetrically and poking at the zipper. The bag is also designed for laptops. Maybe it will fit the media narrative of a schoolkid using his schoolpack. But why not buy a larger one? Who would go on a life-or-death mission and not buy a scope or appropriate pack?
