Premise:

Forty Years after the original Nightmare on Elm Street, a now elderly Nancy Thompson is a patient of the Westin Hills Psychiatric Hospital, her mind fractured by persistent nightmares of Freddy Krueger. When Nancy receives a cryptic message from her long-thought-dead boyfriend, Glen Lantz, is alive, she begins to question her fragile sanity. As Freddy Krueger’s power wanes, he plots a return by exploiting Nancy’s psychological unraveling. With reality and nightmares intertwining, Nancy must confront her deepest fears and the lingering presence of Freddy, who is feeding off her doubt to regain his full strength. As she battles her inner demons and the resurfacing terror, Nancy must uncover the truth about Glen and the real nature of her torment before Freddy fully reawakens.
