Are you a mountaineer that hates exercise? Good news, because now you can get super robot trousers to do the hard parts for you. Canadian company Arc’teryx Equipment have partnered with Google Labs startup Skip, and after watching several Wallace and Gromit films, have come up with MO/GO – ‘the world’s first powered pants.’ A demonstration from the creators shows a carbon fiber ‘exoskeleton’ attached to a pair of pants, complete with motors, and even AI to adapt to the wearer’s movements.

The pants are, according to the team behind them, aimed at helping those with limited mobility take part in things like mountain hikes and other strenuous activities, but the team have not ruled out other uses, such as helping an evil penguin to steal a diamond from a museum.
