Binacrombi Bush Bash March 30, 2024

last Saturday night’s Bush Bash was as exhausting as it was wonderful. After doing eight rounds with three difficult opponents, I was taking my gloves off when a new group arrived with two more young men who were keen to take me on. After completing two rounds with each of them, another group arrived with two more opponents!

I think I’m still recovering, but it did occur to me then, and does now, that the ring fight always parallels the greater fight. Even when we’ve defeated our opponents, there are more antagonists waiting in the wings. The good fight only ends when the final bell rings. I believe I still have my best rounds left in me, and I look forward to continuing the battle with you guys at my side.
