Professor Angus Dalgleish about recovery trial with dexamethasone

"The recovery trial was the only treatment allowed in hospital for patients admitted with Covid...they randomized 6 drugs only which was Dexamethasone. If you were not on this trial, any competent physician would treat these patients with Dexamethasone. But this trial prevented 5 out of 6 people getting Dexamethasone and it went on to show that the only drug that was any use was Dexamethasone. My colleague calculated that this trial killed 4 1/2 thousand people by denying them Dexamethasone...."
