The end of high-trust societies.

The level of societal decay is becoming more and more evident while politics is no longer concerned with security, education or defense of citizens against crime. One only has to look at the resolutions that the various parliaments keep issuing to see that a large proportion of them have the sole intent of targeting, in one way or another, the ordinary, law abiding citizen. Instead of devoting their time to preventing illegal behavior and improving the state of society, trade, living and working conditions; they think only of restricting the citizen's freedom while leaving a free hand to the criminals. This is a dangerous turn of events.
