A Dallas police officer was shot and killed in Oak Cliff on Thursday night. Two other officers were hurt, one critically.

The Dallas Police Department said they got a call around 10 p.m. about an officer in distress near the Oak Cliff Community Center on Ledbetter Road near Marsalis Avenue. They found an officer in his marked patrol vehicle who had been shot.

Responding officers then exchanged gunfire with a suspect, and two officers were shot at that scene. One of those officers had injuries that were deemed life-threatening.
