What Happened To Spawn?

Almost everything about Todd McFarlane’s Spawn is purely adult fare. Even then, it’s not something you’d ever consider everyone’s cup of tea. Sure, there’s a superhero with a killer costume, but he’s from Hell and happens to be surrounded by folks who you’d imagine also keep residency there. But money is money, the MPAA is the MPAA, and you can always count on Hollywood to Hollywood. So Spawn the movie became the walking, talking, movie version of cognitive dissonance and unleashed its Hellspawn upon the world, packaged as a crowd-pleasing, special FX-driven, easily digestible PG-13 film for the masses.
