Jeffrey Epstein appealed a federal judge’s decision to keep him in jail while he waits for trial on sex trafficking charges. According to Reuters, Epstein requested to remain under house arrest in his Manhattan mansion. U.S. District Judge Richard Berman said he’s concerned over Epstein’s “past sexual conduct.” He said Epstein’s conduct might not be “abated” and there might be “new victims” if he were released. Epstein continues to plead not guilty.
