The servicemen of the Eastern Military District who took part in the Selenga 2024 joint Russian-Mongol military exercise marched in united formation with Mongolian troops at the 85th Anniversary Parade in honour of the Soviet-Mongol victory on the Khalkhin Gol River. The event was held at the Independence Square of Choibalsan near the memorial to the heroes of Mongolia.

Before the solemn march of the troops, Acting Commander of the Eastern Military District Lieutenant General Mikhail Nosulev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Alexei Yevsikov, Russian military and air attache Major General Pavel Petrunin, and Minister of Defence of Mongolia Sandagiin Byambatsogt took part in a wreath-laying ceremony.

Veterans, Yunarmiya members, and representatives of public organisations from Transbaikal region and the Republic of Buryatia also took part in the solemn event of the anniversary of the victory on the Khalkhin Gol River.

The servicemen of the two states marched past a stand under the music accompaniment of the joint Russian-Mongol military orchestra. A static display of samples of military hardware of the armed forces of Mongolia and Russia was organised on the square. Source
