Bursey Armstrong Sentencing

Bursey Armstrong was convicted of two charges of second-degree un-aliving for the death of Tasheka Young and their unborn child and is set to be sentenced in a Florid court.

Tasheka Young was found dead inside her apartment on July 23, 2022. Bursey Armstrong, the father of Young's two children, is the alleged killer. Tasheka was 4 months pregnant at the time of her death. A downstairs neighbor called 911 because she thought she heard sounds of an altercation in the apartment above her, which turned out to be Tasheka's. The police arrived, but the neighbor was too scared to speak with the police about what she heard. The police went upstairs and found Tasheka's door open, but with no signs of forced entry and no noises coming from the apartment, the police secured the door and left.

Tasheka's mom arrived at her daughter's apartment the next evening and found her daughter deceased. Tasheka's two young children were by her side. One had covered Tasheka with a blanket and was holding her hand. The other child was found trembling and lying on Tasheka's blood-covered bed.
