In 2021 Indian “asylum seeker” Nadim Hussein revealed that asylum seekers in Ireland are given free computers and driving lessons.

After he had been denied asylum and issued with a deportation order, he decided to mock Irish history and pretend to go on hunger strike. With the help of NGOs his case was brought to the attention of government and Hussein was given permission to remain in Ireland.
