Original United States Hydraulic Elevator @ Navy Yard Ballpark Metro Station - Washington DC

Recorded on 8/21/24. Featuring William Scoufaras. We made sure to check out this station to see if this elevator was still original with a lot of the Metrorail elevators getting modernized. As of 2024, this elevator remains original! This is one of only two elevators on the entire Metrorail system that has not been modernized. The other elevator being at Mount Vernon Square. Everyone says the floor buttons are replacement buttons but I beg to differ! The button press feels like an original US button and I don't see how the buttons would have been replaced on this panel.
