Suzuki Jimny 4WD

One of the most recognised vehicle brands in the small 4WD is the Suzuki Jimny. Having this brand in the museum is welcome, and our 1:18 scale model is a well designed and made model. The paint work is excellent with the bodywork straight and without any defects of any kind, All doors (2) and both bonnet and back entrance door open with perhaps the rear door opening a bit wider. Being 1:18 scale, this model is a credible representation of the actual vehicle, with smaller parts being done to actual scale relative to the actual vehicle. From that grill with that iconic suzuki badge makes for a smart front to the tire on the rear door, quality and attention to detail cannot be faulted.
Now modified to suit latest regulations in regards to legislation, Jimnys are still renowned for that basic look that enthusiasts want to use it for. There are many clubs out there that cater for just the Jimnys.and for earlier Jimny’s to be an outdoors 4x4 for the recreational user. Looking at the model, you can see that it perfectly shows that it can be used both as a daily work vehicle that is then able to provide a little excitement on the weekend.

Opening the door into the interior continues to give it the look and feel of a basic form. But this can be deceptive as all the bells and whistles are there. Instrument panel on a basic dashboard gives it that utalitian look to show its original purpose. Interior detail demonstrates the attention to detail like the vehicle with just about all parts showing attention in everything part being scaled correctly.
The engine is an area that has been made to cost, and yet shows more detail than many models available. It gives a detailed look that shows all the major components on the engine detail. The rear door opens wide and this allows you reasonable access to the interior of the vehicle. All of the tyres and rim s shoe excellent detailing including the tyres pattern. Other parts like lighting and wheels and tires are good and include excellent decals. So overall a good model that displaywell and one I would recommend. 4.5 / .0. Robin Finlay. 28/08/2024.
