Shane (1953)

Directed by George Stevens. The movie is based on the 1949 novel of the same name by Jack Schaefer. It stars Alan Ladd as the titular character, Shane, a mysterious and skilled gunslinger who becomes involved in a conflict between homesteaders and a ruthless cattle baron.
