8-25-2024 | Understanding the Fear of the Lord - Part 2, Obedience

This Sunday, Mike McClung continued to discuss the Fear of the Lord. This week was Part 2, where he talked about Obedience in light of the Fear of the Lord. If we are walking in the Fear of the Lord, our obedience should be implicit, without hesitation. Yet most of us have been taught either directly or indirectly, that we can "reason" our way to obedience; obey on "our terms"; or any number of other bad ideas. Our lack of the fear of the Lord in our obedience explains our inconsistent results. Like Jonah, our resistance often causes trouble for ourselves and everyone around us. We need to see clearly: we serve at the pleasure of a Holy God who loves us. This should cause us to respond immediately.
