Texas Governor Greg Abbott: More Than 1 Million Ineligible Voters Removed From Voter Rolls

Governor Greg Abbott announcing that Texas has removed more than one million people from the state’s voter rolls, including 6,500 noncitizens, more than 134,000 people who moved out-of-state, 65,000 voters who failed to respond and 457,000 people who died. He also said they will continue to clean up their voter rolls.
Of the more than 6,500 noncitizens removed about 2,000 have history of voting in elections. All their records are now being sent to the Attorney General’s Office for investigation and possible legal action.
Abbott saying that he signed the strongest election laws in the nation to protect the right to vote, crackdown on illegal voting and increase penalties. He also said that Illegal voting in Texas will never be tolerated.
