It all started in 44 BC with the death of the renowned Gaius Julius Caesar, more commonly known as Julius Caesar. Despite his legendary status, Caesar was never an emperor but held the title of imperator, or war chief.
His extraordinary life and accomplishments have solidified his legendary status even today.
