Man, I always get fired up for this one!

This song makes more sense in the context that at the time of my first trek through this level as tails (couldn’t get past that sodding barrel in Carnival zone as Sonic) I was looking for a real relationship, and although I had relationships I kinda felt like it wasn’t something that anyone would proclaim loudly from the rooftops. I never felt like anyone really treasured me. The way I wanted to be announced to the world, I was someone’s dark little secret.

To hide it from her parents.
Or her friends would tease her about it.
Or she secretly had a crush on my best friend.
Or her pervy “uncle” would cut his wrists if he found out we were getting too close.
Even if it was just us, and you could call my name from the top of the shopping mall parking lot so the entire concourse heard it…
Would you tell them it was you and me?
