Enhancement inspired by Dave Volsky | April 26, 1983 - A 27-yard field goal by Frank Corral with 2 minutes 47 seconds left in overtime gave the Chicago Blitz a 17-14 victory over the New Jersey Generals tonight. The victory was the fifth for Chicago in eight games. The defeat was the sixth for the Generals, who have won two. Herschel Walker gained 138 yards rushing for New Jersey and scored one touchdown. Walker became the leading ground-gainer in the United States Football League, with 851 yards, by this performance, but he also lost the ball three times on fumbles. One Walker fumble came at the Chicago 5-yard line in the fourth period.
