Troubled On Every Side was timely for El Monte. The church building had just been bombed. By then, Pastor Jimenez had gone thru his persecutions at the hands of the sodomites in Sacramento. Despite his young appearance, i was struck by his seasoned wisdom.

We were all a bit nervous watching First Works from the house. Much prayer went out. We rooted for them to continue. We wondered about their Tabernacle. This gave us hope.

Then Pastor Jimenez put the cookie on the bottom shelf. Laid out a power packed case from the bible: Why we should NEVER give up. If Paul can do it, we can do it. We knew First Works would continue.
