The great snorer

In a cozy little village, there was a woman named Margaret, known far and wide for her gentle nature and cheerful demeanor. But despite her sunny disposition, there was one thing that made her infamous among her neighbors—her snoring. Margaret’s snoring was the stuff of legends, often compared to a chorus of foghorns. The sound could be heard echoing through the village streets, causing many a sleepless night for her poor husband, Harold.

After years of trying everything from earplugs to sleeping in separate rooms, Harold decided to visit the local herbalist, a quirky woman known for her unconventional remedies. The herbalist listened to Harold’s tale of woe and smiled knowingly. “I have just the remedy for you,” she said, handing him a small jar of homemade honey and a tiny pouch of herbs. “But there’s a twist—Margaret must have a spoonful of honey before bed, and you must sprinkle these herbs under her pillow.”

Harold was skeptical but desperate for a good night’s sleep, so he agreed. That evening, he made sure Margaret enjoyed a spoonful of the herbalist’s special honey, and just before bed, he discreetly sprinkled the herbs under her pillow.
