Underworld figure Tarek Ayoub killed in targeted Parramatta shooting

Police say a Sydney underworld figure known as the "Angel of Death" has been killed in an execution-style murder.

29-year-old Tarek Ayoub, who also went by the name Torek and was from Yagoona, was shot multiple times in the car park of a Parramatta unit complex.

was around 3:30 this morning when police
responded to reports of gunfire in a
unit block on Harold Street here at
param when they arrived they found
29-year-old T auu in the car park
suffering from fatal gunshot wounds
which they say was a result of more than
one gunman Mr auu who hails from Yuna is
believed to have been here to meet with
an Associate of his in the unit block
and when he returned to his car he was
taken down in what police described as a
hail of bullets execution style police
have been on scene here since they first
arrived in the early hours of this
morning and super detective
superintendent Danny doy gave an update
into the investigation not long ago
here's what he had to say this was a
targ of shooting as I said it was a
well-known criminal identity long
history of
violence um to the fact that he um known
in the um underworld circles as the
angel of death that was a nickname that
was provided to him um information that
we have so M uh certainly Live By The
Sword and die by the
sword police say a burnt out car found
nearby in Granville is being looked at
as a line of inquiry into this shooting
and say they are prepared to thwart any
retaliatory action that may come as a
result of this incident and they are
urging the community to come forward
with any information they may have
