In this adorable video, a curious bull terrier dog befriends a tiny baby deer which decides to tag along almost immediately. Best friends in the making! They curiously sniff each other and decide to play together in the lawn, and that’s when we know that they will soon become BFF's forever!

We've seen a great deal of impossible companionships, yet this one could conceivably take the cake. This bull terrier named Frankie was playing in the patio when she spotted newborn fawn. These two immediately clicked and began to play together for the next couple of hours.

Footage, filmed on May 23, 2018 in Acworth, Georgia, USA, shows the dog and the fawn interacting in the sweetest manner possible. Reportedly, the bull terrier found a baby deer in owner’s backyard, for which they believe it was probably born there and imprinted on it. It is apparently very common for mother deer to leave their babies in a safe location after they are born. The babies wait for the mother to come back for feedings. That’s how this adorable story started!

Frankie, the dog, found the baby deer out back and babysat her for a few hours until mom was ready to return. Owners left their back gate open overnight and saw the mom come back a few times to check on her baby after Frankie was taken inside. Frankie cried all night for the little one, supposedly her motherly instincts kicked in. Owner explains that she wanted to go outside and check on her baby fawn so badly! Both mom and baby were gone in the morning, probably moved to a safer location, but the connection Frankie made with the baby deer will haunt us forever! What a sweet little pooch!

These interspecies friendships is what we love most about our job here. Watching endless hours of videos with all sorts of different animals cuddling and playing in harmony warms our hearts and makes us wish we had such pets around. Seeing how even sworn natural enemies can learn to love and respect each other really makes you put a finger to your forehead and think some things through.

When we were little, we all had that one best friend to whom we made a solemn promise that we would always stick together no matter what life brings us. Even when there were times of boredom and times when we didn’t know what to say to each other, the friendship ties we cherished were unbreakable. The phrase ‘best friends’ was permanently engraved on a heart pendant, each wearing the half piece around our necks and swear that in the greatest crisis we would fend it with our own lives.

There are some people out there who believe that animals are just ordinary creatures but the truth is the animal kingdom never ceases to amaze and inspire us, making us put all our differences aside. Unusual friendships happen all the time and not just in the world of humans but with animals also. Giraffes and ostriches, dogs and owls, chickens and puppies, rabbits and deer, lions and bears are just handful examples of how friendships in the animal kingdom have no limits. And friends do not have to look anything alike to make a great team just as this unusual friendship proves.

We know that cats and dogs go along but have you heard about a dog and a fawn?! If not, try out this video. A dog named Frankie does not want to get separated from his recently discovered friend, the irresistible baby deer. Her motherly instinct kicked in, and she tended for the fawn like mothers would. To show her that she wants to stay forever her friend, Frankie sniffs the fawn in order to be sure how to recognize it in the wild. Each friendship has a certain smell and theirs is the smell of mutual understanding and a promise to hang out in future. Time to say goodbye and hopefully not for long. The baby fawn leaves the lawn with her mother, hoping their paths will cross in the near future.
