Sourdough Blooms: A Purple Aster Flower Inspiration

I’ve been having a so much fun experimenting with bigger flower designs on my sourdough, this one was inspired by the stunning purple aster flowers.

These beautiful colors come from natural plant-based powders from @gosupernatural and @watkins.1868. I covered the sourdough with a mix of purple sweet potato powder, rice flour, and a few drops of blue, then scored the flower. For a finishing touch, I added some color to the center. To create that 3D effect, I added foil under the leaves after the first 5 minutes in the oven.
