Mountaineers kit – Baschlik Mütze Loden wool hunting hat and Gramlich Alpine Hazel Bergstock

Right, today I'm getting back to my promises of showing and talking about my trusty hiking companion, namely a Bergstock or Alpine-stick as an essential piece of kit and what it is used for. These sticks are made from natural grown Hazelnut bushes.
Additional, because we are talking about the traditional Alpine Loden gear and the mountaineer's field hat, which matching perfectly together with the other wool Loden clothing and Rucksack I'm using.
All this equipment got a long history in traditional Alpine countries like around Austria, Germany, Swiss, and yes Sweden and Finland too, all places where it is essential to be best prepared against unpredictable cold, wet and harsh weather conditions for the last few hundred years, and still is very common in use among Huntsman, Bushcraft, Hiking and Outdoor folks alike who has to rely on their kit if out there, exposed to the elements.
