EMBRACING THE CHRIST WITHIN

As children, we were taught in our Sunday school songs that Jesus lived in our hearts. We would sing." come into my heart, Lord Jesus. Come today, come in. I pray come into my heart, Lord Jesus." Then, when we would tell our friends what happened to us, we would say I got saved, and Jesus came into my heart and that's where he lives.
Oddly enough, as we grew older, many of us started focusing on Jesus living in heaven, and when we prayed, we always looked up, asking Jesus to come down again to help us.
Today, I want to remind you that you are a dwelling place for God because he made you that way. The apostle Paul writes in first Corinthians 619. Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit?
So what do we do about this? How, then, do we pray?
Listen to what first John 44 declares:" greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world." Of course, we understand that scripture is telling us that Christ lives in us of the truth.
Be reminded today that the river that flows out of you is from the spirit of God that lives in you. The scriptures tell us that rivers of living water will flow out of our innermost being.
That's how we embrace the Christ within. Let that river flow.
