National Post columnist Adam Zivo revealed recently that, while writing articles about the Ukraine war and Russia for the National Post, he worked as a spy for the Canadian and Ukrainian intelligence services.

Last year, Zivo interviewed Dimitri Lascaris without disclosing to Lascaris that he was a spy. At the time, Lascaris was travelling in Crimea and writing articles that were critical of Western government military support for Ukraine. Zivo's article about Lascaris falsely insinuated that Lascaris was working in the service of the Russian government.

As Lascaris explains to RT in this interview, Zivo perpetrated a fraud by concealing from Lascaris that he was spying for Ukrainian and Canadian intelligence services.

The supreme irony is that it was Zivo - not Lascaris - who was acting as a government agent.

If the National Post had any journalistic integrity, then it would either retract the articles Zivo has written about the Ukraine war and Russia, or, at a minimum, it would attach to all of those articles a clear disclosure that Zivo worked as a spy for Ukrainian and Canadian intelligence services when he wrote the articles.

Zivo's hit-piece on Lascaris is still on the National Post website and contains no disclosure that Zivo worked as a spy when he wrote the article.

We can add these facts to the mountain of evidence that the National Post does not do journalism. Rather, it is simply a propaganda organ.
