Following the January 6 events, Telegram founder Pavel Durov received demands from Democrats for user data related to the incident. They warned that failure to comply would be deemed a violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Republicans later sent him another letter, warning that if Telegram complied with the Democrats' request for user data, it would be in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

Now, a key ally of the Biden administration and a staunch supporter of NATO has thrown him behind bars for “pedo criminal offenses,” a charge they themselves are guilty of.
