*Erus never stops talking, explaining over and over that the only way for the Darkened Earth to remain beautiful and pure is his way. Blood is needed to keep the land thriving in the light and Burn must decide. He interrupted the sacrifice, he stood between the redhead and death and therefore he can take her death if he sees fit. Erus smiles, letting the crowd that holds Burn know that any can take the death of another and, in fact, offering ones self up to die for another actually increases the act of blood that is necessary in order for the beauty and the light to stay in the Darkened Earth. If Burn fights, the redhead will die and the act of blood will happen but not as strong as it could be. If Burn submits, willingly takes her death onto himself, the Darkened Earth will have such blood it may remain beautiful for up to a year. It is Burns choice and it only takes him a second to decide. He yanks free of the crowd and hands over his Ancient Axe before walking over to the silver platform as the redhead scurries off.
