G14SE/ST6 - Split View Detection and Identification

This video is to talk about a technique I've been working on to improve my ability to use both sensors. Instead of trying to fuse the output, I split the output by angling the sensors outwards about 5-10 degrees. This allows me to focus on one or the other, and simply turn my head a bit to bring the desired sensor into focus. This isn't perfect, because the G14's FoV is still large enough to cover some of the ST6's FoV, but it's good enough to ease the brain strain caused by trying to merge two images that are on different axes and are different sizes. This will only work for two sensors, and anything integrating a third sensor will have to actually do the integration work.

Note that the G14SE output is canted because it's so small it doesn't work correctly with a standard PVS-14 J-arm, and requires me to pull it in tightly to get a view through it. Also due to the G14SE's small size I had to jerry-rig an arm to bring it closer to my eye. The G14's HUD is working, those areas just got cut off by the angling or overlaid by the ST6 output.

The clips are from a night walk I took yesterday morning (24 Aug 24) starting at about 0300 and ending about 0430 on the Goffstown Rail Trail. Conditions were about 60F, some humidity, waning gibbous moon (about 3/4), and no cloud cover. Moonlit areas are quite bright, while moonshaded areas are quite dark.
