As important as all the parts in your front suspension are, only the wheel bearing is responsible for keeping the wheels rolling. The bearings are generally long-living, but they'll fail somewhere after 60,000 to 100,000 miles. A failing bearing will often cause a loud humming or strong vibration from the affected corner of the vehicle. While catastrophic failures are highly unlikely, riding on a bad bearing for too long can damage other components in the area.

Replacing the front bearings isn't rocket science, but it will require a few funky sockets and some time. The job also involves removing the brake assembly, so be extra careful if your chassis has the carbon ceramic brake option.

In this video, Mike Hidalgo, FCP Euro's Professional DIYer, replaces a front wheel bearing on a BMW F82 M4.
