The Everyman's Confession

I came into this world a stranger to the world
My heart was without form and void
A yearning need drove me to the ends of the earth
In search of something or someone i knew not what
Love sprang eternal as a many splendored dream
While i slept away my youth
Over time those love songs i once sang rang hollow
It seemed as though i would not find what i'm here for
Till i awoke to the sound of an angel singing
