Packraft Adventure on Buckhorn Creek

In my dorky search for some tunnels, I decided to go to an old swimming spot that I used to go to in my college days on Buckhorn Creek. I had explored the section between the spillway and Hwy 42 in the past, but a little further upstream there is a culvert that passes under the railroad, tunneling about 200 ft. It would not be worth it to paddle this at the water level needed, but today it made for an interesting exploration. I stopped and did a quick jump for old times sake, then continued down to Hwy 42. I’m not sure if this area is allowed to be at, but I didn’t have any problems and probably won’t be back just in case. I’m happy to know what’s there though. Sorry for the bad view when I’m on the creek. The phone in pfd view isn’t the greatest, but I wanted to include it in case anyone was curious what the creek is like and is willing to try and see from my bad view. Enjoy!
